Updated: 12:33 PM EST Dec 24, 2020 A woman who called 911 about a medical emergency at her home is now charged with murder, according to the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.Shannon Nicole Daves, 47, was charged in the death of Roger Michael Evans, 47, Sheriff's Office representative Aaron Sarver said. The two lived at the same home on Copper Mill Court, in Candler. Sarver said dispatchers got the call just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night for medical assistance at the home. When deputies and emergency medical service workers arrived, they found Evans dead, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Sarver said. Detectives executed two search warrants as part of the investigation and recovered a firearm. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is also assisting in the investigation.No other information was released.
