Convicted child killer Melvin Volkwyn has lodged an application to appeal his conviction, charging that the High Court had 'misdirected' in finding that he had murdered one-year-old Orderick Lucas.
Melvin Volkwyn has been convicted of the murder of little Orderick Lucas, 1, who was found dead in a drain near his home in Cape Town. Charges may still be brought against his mother and grandmother.
The cause of Orderick’s death was not determined during autopsy.
