Winston-Salem police officer recovering after crash Sunday
A Winston-Salem police officer is recovering after a crash Sunday evening.It happened around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Silas Creek Parkway and Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.Authorities say the officer, identified as Cpl. James Pleasant, 37, suffered minor injuries.One person, who left the scene of the crash, was arrested after later being located by police. That person has been identified as Javier Gutierrez-Peralta, 37, of Lexington. According to police, Cpl.
