As of this week, the Marine Corp is responding to comments received during the public input period.
After that, the Army Corps of Engineers will review all comments and responses, then issue its final decision either approving, rejecting or modifying the Marine Corps’ proposal, according to Dino Buchanan, public affairs chief with the Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District.
In October, the Marine Corps formally proposed to establish the surface danger zone for its live-fire training range complex on the northern tip of Guam. It would be about 3,660 acres, extending into the Pacific Ocean about 2.8 miles from the north coast of Guam, along the Guam National Wildlife Refuge. ....
