Voters rejected what would have been the largest bond issue in Waverly school history Tuesday. Louisville's bond issue also failed, but Conestoga's plan was approved.
The Waverly bond issue was failing by more than a 2-1 margin as of 10:25 p.m. Tuesday night.
Voters will consider an $89.9 million Waverly school bond issue on the May 14 primary ballot.
The community will have the opportunity to vote on the proposal, which would utilize a levy of 12.8 cents per $100,000 of valuation, in the May 14 primary election.
