She was the wife of Harold W. Demone, who died in 2011. Ms. Demone was born in Quincy. As the mother of a child born with a rare syndrome called cri du chat, caused by a genetic disorder, Ms. Demone was relentless in pursuing education, habilitation, and avocation for her daughter.
