WHECTV SWEDEN, N.Y. (WHEC) Farm equipment was damaged in a barn fire in Brockport Tuesday morning. Firefighters say no one was inside the barn at 269 Gordon Rd. at the time of the fire, which was called in by a passerby at around 10:15 a.m. Firefighters were still working on extinguishing the flames as of 12:15 p.m. and had Gallup Road and Sweden Walker Road closed. They said they would send a follow-up email when the road reopens, but News10NBC has not received an update yet. Monroe County Fire Bureau investigators said the owners of the barn were on the scene speaking with them. ....
2021/02/28 20:55 (CNA photo) TAIPEI (Taiwan News) A 34-year-old woman surnamed Huang (黃) was found dead on Saturday (Feb. 27) after going missing Friday during a hike on Mt. Jyunda (郡大山) in Nantou County’s Xinyi Township. Nantou County Fire Bureau said that Huang, her friend surnamed Liao (廖), and five others went to climb Mt. Jyunda on Friday, CNA reported. Huang and other members of the group safely reached the summit around noon. It was not until their trek down the mountain that the unfortunate accident happened. The group only realized Huang was missing when they returned to the trailhead, the bureau added. Liao, who was walking behind Huang during the return trip, told the firefighters she found hiking poles on the trail near the North Peak of Mt. Jyunda at around 1:00 p.m. on Friday. She took photos of the poles, which were later confirmed to belong to Huang. ....
