Court Selects Contractor For Courthouse Repairs
The Hill County Commissioners Court met in a special session Tuesday, April 20, and selected a contractor to make repairs to the Hill County Courthouse following February s winter storm.
At the court s last meeting, commissioners opted to utilize pre-bid purchasing cooperatives approved by the state rather than extending the length of the project by seeking bids.
A proposal from Basic IDIQ for $759,000 was approved by the court. The other proposal came from Belfor, which submitted a $1.13 million plan. The cost is expected to be covered by insurance.
Reviewing other items placed on the special agenda, the court approved a $14,035.39 proposal to upgrade security cameras at the Waco Street Support Services Building and the county annex on Franklin Street. ....
