how s the pentagon reacting to these anxiosanctions and the president s decision to continue moving forces out of northern syria, courtney? so, you know, the, we have to take step back here. the sanctions issue is something that s it s not a surprise. right. this is really was the last thing that the president had the option to do here. once turkey said that they were going to invade and once they went through with it just last week. you know richard made a really interesting point about consolidating u.s. troops. the surprise we got late yesterday from the white house that the u.s. troops who would be leaving syria were going to stay in the renagion. that was something they hoped would happen. that these troops in northeastern syria, the hope was that they would stay somewhere in the region so if there was an isis problem, there would be some potential for the u.s. to respond in some way. the big question now is where exactly in the region will they ....
