Schools in Mizoram Reopens Today The SOPs issued by the states are in line with the Centre’s guidelines pertaining to restrictions- number of students, teaching and non-teaching staff. Aizawl: Following COVID-19 safety guidelines-Schools in Mizoram reopened on January 22. According to the official statement released by the state health minister, the state government has also decided to reopen the places of worship in Mizoram from February 2021. The meeting was preceded by state Health Minister R Lalthangliana. Meanwhile, as per the new notification, the state government has also allowed the students to stay in hostels in order to prepare for the board examinations. ....

The Chennai Police registered 11 cases against 10 theatres until Wednesday evening for violating the 50% seating capacity rule and COVID-19 safety guidelines during the screening of the Vijay-starrer Master. The police said the theatres at Jafferkhanpet, Ayanavaram, Koyambedu and other places in the south and east zones were found violating the norms, and cases were registered under Section 188 (disobedience to an order promulgated by public servant) and Section 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code. Some theatres were slapped with a fine of ₹5,000. ....
