Paterson NJ: Jameek Lowery lawsuit survives dismissal effort
PATERSON — The city has fallen short in its attempt to get a full dismissal of the federal lawsuit filed over the death of Jameek Lowery, who died in January 2019 after he was restrained by Paterson police officers in an ambulance. A federal judge last week ruled that Lowery’s estate could continue with its lawsuit on two counts: allegations of his wrongful death and damages to his survivors for his pain and suffering.
