Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stressed need for raising awareness among people about the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training
The Indian government has initiated a nationwide program to train individuals in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) due to the increasing incidents of cardiac arrest. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) organized the CPR training program, aiming to train over a million participants, including students, professionals, and paramedical staff from medical, dental, pharmacy, and nursing colleges.
Around 15 to 20 lakh people across the country will participate in workshops to be held at medical colleges, dental colleges, nursing colleges, and several universities on December 6.
In view of the rising number of heart attacks, nearly two lakh school teachers and college professors will be provided training in performing CPR. | Latest News India
