Worldwide semiconductor revenue rebounded in 2020 reaching $449.8 billion, according to preliminary results by Gartner, Inc.
Revenues rebounded in 2020, up 7.3 per cent from 2019, as per the report.
“In early 2020, the expectation was that Covid-19 would have a negative impact across all end equipment markets, but the actual effect was more nuanced,” said Andrew Norwood, research vice president at Gartner.
“Automotive, industrial and some areas of the consumer market were hit hard by reduced enterprise and consumer spending. However, lockdowns vastly increased work from home and e-learning, and any markets that facilitated those activities benefited,” Norwood said. ....

Core i9-11900K. Un CPU qui fait partie de la famille Rocket Lake-S, qui reste en 14 nm et qui arrivera durant ce trimestre, normalement fin mars. Ce dernier s accommodera parfaitement d une carte mère équipée d un chipset Z590, mais fonctionnera aussi très bien avec une carte mère Z490. Les différents constructeurs devraient proposer des modèles à partir du 27 janvier prochain, nous y reviendrons prochainement.

While Nvidia is expected to reveal the mobile versions of its RTX 3000 series graphics cards, the main item on AMD’s menu is likely its Ryzen 5000 mobility CPUs. Made of up both Zen 2-based (Renoir Refresh) Lucienne and Zen 3-based Cezanne parts, AMD will placing the chips up against Intel’s Tiger Lake CPUs. ....
