WEST CHESTER — In the end, the case against Christopher Barbuto may have been one of “the dog that didn’t bark.” Or, more accurately, the texts that Courtney Wilson didn’t send. A Chester County Common Pleas Court jury returned a guilty verdict Thursday against Barbuto, a recovering drug addict in whose Phoenixville apartment police found the body of Wilson, a 28-year-old mother of one who was pregnant at the time, dead of an apparent overdose of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and Xanax.
