This is bbc news. bbc news bringing you different stories from across the uk. for penny green. this is a magical place. last year it was just a stream in a field, but now it s become a pond, which by day looks fairly quiet, but by night comes alive. two adult beavers were brought here from scotland last year. they ve become quite at home in a two hectare securely fenced area in which they ve built dams to create ponds. everything has gone swimmingly, so much so that last week, when penny checked the monitoring cameras, she saw two baby beavers known as kits. it was an historic moment. so excited. you know, it sjust the most exciting thing to know that beavers have bred here successfully. and that s the first time in 500 years in sussex that we can say that. it s just amazing. they ve made the most amazing wildlife habitat here. they re real ecosystem engineers. they re creating loads of wonderful habitat for other wildlife. for more stories from across the uk, head to the bbc news webs ....
