I-95 for some 18 or 19 hours. the state doesn't have a full handle on exactly how many people were stranded on the highway. a really big issue here, because vdot is vowing a full review. it also says it simply could not possibly keep up with the amount of snow that fell in such a short period of time. 12 inches of snow in about six hours of time. the state says it will try to make sure this doesn't happen again, also apologizing to folks saying the number of people stuck that was unacceptable. the amtrak crescent line train got stuck near lynchburg, virginia. it was on its way from new orleans...
