LGT Capital strikes $6bn across fifth flagship secondaries fundraise, second 'special opportunities' vehicle
5 LGT Capital has raised $6bn of new capital across a pair of funds looking to profit from the rebounding private equity secondaries market. The firm said its latest flagship secondaries fund, Crown Global Secondaries V, would be closed on its $4.5bn hard cap on May 31 – a huge jump in fund size compared to the $2.8bn Fund IV from 2018. It closed its predecessor, Crown Global Secondaries III, on $2bn in 2013.
