Prince Albert municipal workers voted 81 per cent in favour of a new contract to end a months-long strike. They'll remain off the job, however, until the city ratifies the deal.
"We are saddened and disappointed that Mayor Dionne felt the need to push through the picket line," said CUPE national representative Mira Lewis.
CUPE 882 has filed an unfair labour practice application with the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board regarding the City of Prince Albert's conduct during bargaining.
CUPE 882 has reached a tentative agreement with the city after job action started in August.
Prince Albert city workers could go on strike as soon as Monday as the union and city continue their stalemate.
