Delivering the annual Freedom Day address, the President issued this message about homophobia and intolerance against the LGBTQI community.

Nobody has the right to take the life and abuse someone else because of their sexual orientation. No one has the right at all.  
His comment comes after a series of violent attacks over the few months including here in KZN. 
Just last month - an openly gay man Sphamandla Khoza was stabbed multiple times in an attack apparently fuelled by his sexuality. 
The man who killed LGBTQI+ activist Lindokuhle Cele in February last year is serving 25-years in prison.

A number of other investments are so big that they require partners to come on board. Transnet is a state-owned enterprise, we are not privatising it. Transnet will continue to bring partners and work with them.  
Some Transnet employees picketed yesterday at the Durban Port, where Ramaphosa arrived to meet with the entity s senior management. 
The workers, affiliated to transport union Satawu, said they wanted to air their objections to plans to privatise the parastatal. 
It follows talks that Transnet intends privatising low-density railway lines. Ramaphosa says the port is currently working with a number of partners.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country will be getting other coronavirus vaccines from elsewhere following the suspension of the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson jabs.

There are safety concerns after six women in the US who d received the J&J shot developed blood clots afterwards.
One of them has died.
Ramaphosa spoke to reporters this afternoon after a meeting with senior Transnet officials at the Port of Durban. 
The Johnson and Johnson vaccine is halted for now and hopefully not for too long because the scientists are going to look at the efficiency of the vaccine.

After the meeting, the President will be taken on a tour around the port.
He s accompanied by KZN Premier, Sihle Zikalala and eThekwini Mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda.
Later, Ramaphosa will head to eThekwini s Ward six for a door-to-door campaign ahead of next month s by-election.
And then, it s back to Durban for a Provincial Executive Committee meeting.
