D Pandian CHENNAI: Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Pandian passed away in Government Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital (RGGH) in Chennai on Friday morning after two days of hospitalisation . He was 88. Pandian, who had been unwell over the recent months and was wheelchair-bound, was admitted to RGGH on Wednesday. According to hospital dean Dr E Theranirajan, the 88-year-old had a chronic kidney disease. He was on regular haemodialysis. On Wednesday, he was admitted to hospital in an unconscious state with sepsis and hypoglycaemia. As his condition worsened, he was on life support including ventilator in the intensive care unit till he breathed his last. ....

Suffering from chronic kidney problems, Pandian was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital on Wednesday as his health condition turned worse. Pandian s condition turned critical on Thursday night and was put on a ventilator but he passed away on Friday morning, a hospital official said. Pandian passed away in Chennai on Friday morning. Pandian died at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai where he was admitted due to ill health. As per a report, Pandian was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital on Wednesday in an unconscious state with sepsis and hypoglycemia. He was put on life-saving medications and ventilator support. He breathed his last at 10.05 a.m. Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan tweeted his condolences on Twitter saying Pandian s death is a huge loss to Tamil Nadu politics. ....
