Sukhdool Singh Gill, also known as Sukha Duneke, started his criminal journey in 2005 and became a notorious gangster-terrorist involved in extortion and targeted killings. He rose through the ranks and eventually fled to Canada, where he formed connections with other criminals. He was implicated in several high-profile murders and became a prime suspect in multiple criminal cases. It was discovered that he managed to obtain a second passport with the help of corrupt police officers.
According to officials, Hardeep Singh Nijjar escaped to Canada in 1996, fearing a threat to life from the police. He indulged in illegal activities like drug smuggling and extortion in Canada to arrange funding for terrorist activities
The incident follows the killing of designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 19, as a result of inter-gang warfare.
The gunshot incident on September 18 near Aldgate Road was confirmed by Winnipeg Police. According to intelligence assessments, Duneke joined the pro-Khalistan forces and was a part of the Davinder Bambiha gang.
