In a lengthy social media post Dan Colegate, 38, praised the 'heroes' who helped uncover the body of his missing girlfriend and hiker Esther Dingley near Pic de Gléré, in the French Pyrenees.

Esther's boyfriend Dan Colegate found the body 437 yards from the remote peak of Pic de la Glere which straddles the French-Spanish border in the Pyrenees. Skull was found 656 yards away.
French detectives were led to the site by Esther's boyfriend Dan Colegate on Monday as investigators probe how the experienced hiker died in the Pyrenees after disappearing in November.
