BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Five Tigers competed at 2022 Indoor National Championships on Friday, as they each recorded one of the top 16 marks in the nation this season in their respective events. ACC Champion Daniel Cope challenged the weight throw, while Aman Thornton competed in the men’s 800 meter. BLACKSBURG, Va. – On the second day of competition at ACC Championships, Daniel Cope won the ACC Championship in the weight throw with his toss of 22.28 meters. That mark not only brought him the conference crown, it is also a Jamaican national record in the event. Alison D’Alessandro set a school-record of her own in the women’s pole vault, clearing 4.11 meters.
