What started out as a joyous occasion ended in tragedy for one Florida family, when the uncle of the bride was shot by a police officer during their wedding reception.
ORLANDO, Fla. — Winter Park police say an officer shot and killed a man who was fighting with guests at a wedding reception Saturday night.
"He just had a little bit to drink," Patricia Keeby, Knight's mother, told WESH 2. "He was excited about his niece's wedding."
The Winter Park Police Department said police shot and killed Daniel Patrick Knight after he allegedly attacked officers at a wedding.
