Tulsa Police arrested a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl and getting her pregnant. Police said 24-year-old Juan Miranda-Jara brought the girl to the hospital because she was in labor. When police got there, they said he told them he’d been in a relationship with the girl for nine months. They said he admitted to being the baby’s father. “It’s kind of bizarre. It’s a different way of doing it, instead of a parent reporting it, the actual suspect brought the child in and then admitted it was his,” Tulsa Police officer Danny Bean said.

Some midtown Tulsa residents heard the sounds of a gun battle late Sunday night. Tulsa Police said officers found a large crowd at the 21st Street and Yale Avenue Whataburger around 11:20 p.m., and once they got to the middle of the gathering, they found a 19-year-old man inside a black Dodge Challenger riddled with bullet holes who had been shot 10 times, including in the neck.
