Cmdr. Cameron Dennis was dismissed as commander of the USS Howard by Capt. Justin Harts, the commodore of Yokosuka Naval Base’s Destroyer Squadron 15, for “a loss of confidence in his ability to perform his duties,” the Navy announced in a brief statement.
The Navy "relieved the commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Howard, Cmdr. Cameron Dennis, Feb. 6, 2024, due to a loss of confidence in his ability to perform his duties," the Navy said in its statement.
