Oconee planning commission OKs rezone for commercial project on U.S. 441 The Oconee County Planning Commission approved a rezoning request Monday night for a parcel of land on U.S. Highway 441 north of Watkinsville planned as a multi-use commercial development. The rezoning passed with some stipulations for the 23-acre tract owned by Dave Mulkey of Watkinsville, who plans to develop the project called Oconee Mercantile.
