WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH – A woman was saved from falling 40 feet off the top of a parking deck by police during an incident Sunday morning. Wrightsville Beach Police Department officers were summoned to the Shell Island resort shortly before 1 a.m. on Feb. 28 after being notified by a security officer of a woman behaving suspiciously while walking the parking deck, according to a release.
