Residents of congested Oxfordshire towns want new traffic restrictions to stop lorries shaking historic buildings and straining ancient bridges. Councillors have called for the new restrictions to be brought in to the areas of Burford, Chipping Norton, and Henley in an effort to stop HGVs driving through them and causing damage to structures. This is what Oxford Mail readers thought about the proposed new measures:
David Cameron-Young: “People will soon moan when shops have empty shelves and garages have no fuel. “Yes, lorries can be a pain, but they are a necessity.”
