Frances Jane Smith Frances Jane Smith, 80, of Midland, Tex., passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. Frances was born on January 31, 1940, to Ethel and Coy Cavitt in Stamford, Tex. A lifelong Midland High School Bulldog, she was extremely proud of her 30-plus year career at her alma mater and school district. She was active and filled with energy for most of her life, always on the move and ready to go somewhere and do something, whether it be around town or going on longer adventures.
