Canton Man Faces Burglary, Assault, Bond Violation Charges A Canton man was arrested by Lewis County deputies Wednesday on a variety of charges. Sheriff David Parrish reports 31 year old David Arch II had been wanted for violating conditions of his bond. Arch had previously been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest dating back to May of 2020. Arch is also on supervised probation on a forgery charge from 2015. Hannibal Man Arrested on Lewis County Drug Charges Get our free mobile app Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish reports a deputy observed a vehicle running a stop sign near LaGrange Monday. As a result of the ensuing traffic stop, a search of the vehicle revealed a substance believed to be methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia. Deputies took 26 year old Zachary Laffey of Hannibal into custody on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Laffey is in the Lewis County Jail on $10,000 bond.
