Covid heroes give up their time to support fellow Boltonians
Christine Baldwin has been a great support to over 50s in Bolton. During the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, Age UK Bolton asked for help for their friendly phone calls services. This means supporting older adults who are having to shield and/or are feeling increased loneliness and anxiety, these unprecedented times has been daunting for older people. Christine, who is a Community Champion at the Astley Bridge, Asda, started volunteering as a friendly phone call volunteer with Age UK Bolton, providing befriending support to their service users.
