The sentencing trial has begun for a former football coach who was convicted of fatally shooting his wife in 1999. The man allegedly staged the killing as a burglary more than 24 years ago.
David Temple was initially found guilty for a second time in August 2019 for the brutal murder of his wife Belinda, a Katy High School teacher back in 1999. However, sentencing could not be agreed on, so a judge declared a mistrial.
Now, 24 years after Belinda Temple was killed by her husband David Temple, a second sentencing trial is expected to start on Monday.
