White scores 42 to lead Helias boys past William Chrisman in Class 5 quarterfinals
William Chrisman had no way to stop Desmond White. “He’s just good, he’s just really good,” Helias coach Joe Rothweiler said. “He works his tail off, he’s a competitor, he wants to win and he wants to carry his guys to the Final Four.” White scored 42 points, including 27 in the first half, and brought down six rebounds to lead the Helias Crusaders to a 70-52 win against the Bears during the Class 5 state quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at Cable Dahmer Arena.
