But you get used to it after a while. the problem is the controllers say their shifts can vary so much, one week they re on the overnight shift, the next week, on the daytime shift, the next week, they re on the everything, kind of swing shift. is that a possibility, you know, just give everybody an assigned shift and let mem get used to the cycle? well, the faa management and the union is working hard to address the they ve done a study, i think, on fatigue management and certainly scheduleing is one of the issues and perhaps as was mentioned earlier, allowing napping under controlled circumstances. sometimes these shifts are actually the shifts the controllers want to work to allow them to have long weekends, and but that s very much on the table. jon: as you know, there are a lot of people i would love to take a nap on the job. i don t think the viewers would like it so much, but a lot of people complain about that idea. well, i mean, in the nature of your work, you re ....
