"Several decisions were given the go-ahead for housing schemes to boost the sector and for development of Narela sub-city. The authority approved the proposals on change of land use in public interest - in Ghazipur for setting up RFID, in Auchandi village for construction of electrical sub-station, in Jangpura for RRTS installations," the statement read.
“Any private entity with a registered office or campus in Delhi/ NCR region can now purchase residential flats of DDA in bulk for use as residential staff quarters, hostel among others. Such a policy will enable the growth and development of private industrial, educational and other sectors in upcoming areas like Narela leading to the overall development of the city,” DDA said in a statement.
DDA aims for a revenue boost, targeting Rs 9182 crore in FY 24-25, up by 19% from the current year's Rs 7696 crore. The approved budget for 2024-25 stands at Rs 8811 crore. Notably, DDA witnessed a significant 75% surge in revenue this year, reaching Rs 7696 crores compared to Rs 4392 crores last year. Developmental activities soared to Rs 8,804 crore this year, a 69% increase from the previous year's Rs 5189 crores. Allocations for land and infrastructure development, UER-II construction, and Delhi Metro projects have seen notable increases to propel growth.
The DDA approved another round of e-auction for left-out flats in Dwarka and offered a 15% discount for flats in Narela. Non-governmental legal entities can now purchase DDA flats in bulk for use as residential staff quarters and hostels.

Under the guidance and direct supervision of Saxena, who is also the DDA chairman, the authority has been able to sell more than 8,000 flats from its pending inventory during the past year, it stated.
