The parent of Darryly George, a student at Barbers Hill High School, said her son is being wrongly punished by the school for his hair length.
Barbers Hill ISD is asking the Texas court to clarify the CROWN Act after suspending high school student Darryl George for the length of this hair.
"Claiming that Darryl is violating a hair length policy is simply a backdoor method to continue discriminating against students with natural hair," a lawmaker said.
