Magistrates finally 'crack the whip' as climate activist jailed for protest

Sky News host James Morrow says it’s great to see magistrates finally “crack the whip” on climate activists who shut down or disrupt traffic. Climate protester Deanna Maree Coco, who blocked a lane of traffic on Sydney Harbour Bridge earlier this year, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison with a non-parole period of eight months. He said blocking roads is “idiotic” and can lead to “real problems” with ambulances trying to get through to emergencies. “People have died as a result of these egotistic clowns,” Mr Morrow said.
