Weather to come this winter. deb? and nick, are you finding out where some of the people who are being affected, are they being put up in schools or public places? what are you hearing? usually in situations like this, you know as well as i do, they open up high schools for facilities, so people can shelter there. those who have been displaced by this. these were really terrible storms. we ve been talking about all this all morning long, and this afternoon. these types of severe weather systems, this type of damage, more typical for the springtime, when tornadoes are really active, especially in the middle part of america. but we have a potential tornado happening in alabama, as i mentioned, on christmas day, and really just not a very good christmas, a memorable christmas for all the wrong witness for those who have been affected by this. nick valencia, thanks so much. we appreciate it and we know you ll stay on this for us. and mother nature is not done yet. the central plains ....
Joins us now. karen, what s in store for the rest of today and tomorrow? deb, it does not get any better from here on out. we could split the nation in two, and essentially, the eastern third of the united states or the eastern half is dealing with flooding. severe weather and soon to be a rapid change in the weather picture, while the western half of the united states is looking at dramatically colder temperatures. we re looking at a weather system coming out of the gulf of alaska. but severe storms and flooding, the big news across the deep south. as i mentioned, it s not going to get any better. in fact, it s going to get a whole lot worse as we go into the next 24 hours. so fur on the roads or thinking about hitting the roads, come over the next 24 hours, there is going to be ice and snow and very windy conditions in places like lubbock, texas, and into amarillo. extending on up towards kansas. already, these are the current conditions. 20s in southeastern sections of ....
And those citizens are really being used by isis as fodder. and that s one of the reasons that i guess the troops have been sort of slow to move. how do they play a role in all of this, general? . this is very tough, deb. i saw this when i was in iraq in 2008, when al qaeda was come in and actually repress the local populist, use them as shields, kill them off, use them to bargain, and this is exactly the same thing isis is doing. the new soldier, you ve got to remember, too, the majority of the forces going into ramadi right now are relatively green troops. these are folks who have just come together in those new b brigades, most of the forces have been recently trained by the coalition. these are green troops going against an enemy that is using their fellow citizens as shields. that s extremely difficult to face as a soldier, when you see perhaps neighbors and friends and fellow tribesmen being held ....
Falls within the statue of limitations. if he s concerned that debora johnson will be a witness in the scores of other cases remains to be seen. but i think there s some chance he can prevail in this if she can t prove it. and what good can it do him? it makes very little difference given the other pending litigation. richard, do you see this as strategic? it s fascinating, somebody makes an accusation at somebody and they make an accusation back. sort of tit for tat. what do you think about this strategically? it s he said/she said. and litigation, practice is strategy. this is now the defense strategy from the cosby camp to be on the offensive and go after these people. the bottom line here, deb, is that in defamation cases, they are very, very difficult to prove. in fact, in the uk, which is the foundation of our legal system, the only way you get a jury trial is a criminal case and a civil defamation case. ....
