After meeting key Korean legislators at the National Assembly on Wednesday afternoon, Debora Comini, UNICEF's regional chief for East Asia and the Pacific, conveyed a sense of optimism.
The Philippines is considered to be among the countries in the East Asia and Pacific region which children suffer most from multiple and often overlapping climate and environmental hazards and shocks, a latest report by the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) showed.

Debora Comini is the Unicef regional director, East Asia and the Pacific, based in Bangkok. Joining in November 2021, she is responsible for programme coherence and advocacy for Unicef across the region. She started her Unicef career in 1991 in Unicef headquarters, in New York, and has held several senior positions.
