Mississippi. Much of the damage happened near the town of columbia after a tornado tore through the area. The storm system has damaged homes and businesses, closed roads, flipped cars and left thousands of power customers in the dark. Tonight new video of the destruction caused by a tornado which hit Southeast Louisiana this afternoon. This was the scene in the town of ahmeat about 75 miles north of new orleans. More than a dozen homes in the area have been destroyed. More than 17thousand homes and businesses lost power. So far, no injuries have been reported.
