The NH-24 carriageway has been opened over a month after restrictions were imposed by blocking roads near Akshardham, in view of ongoing farmers protest at Ghazipur (Delhi-Uttar Pradesh) border on February 1.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has notified that the carriageway of NH-24 going towards Ghaziabad from Delhi, where traffic restrictions were imposed on February 1 in the wake of the farmers protests, has now been opened. The move was taken for public convenience after reviewing the law and order situation at the Ghazipur border.
In view of the prevailing law and order situation at the Ghazipur border and considering public convenience, the carriageway of NH-24 going towards Ghaziabad from Delhi has been opened after consultation with police officials of Ghaziabad District, Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi Police said.  ....
