Wednesday, May 12, 2021 Funeral services for Gladys M. Dye were held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. She was later buried in Driskill Memorial Cemetery in Simsboro, under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Dye was born Gladys Marie Potts on December 23, 1922, to sharecroppers Annie and Ellis Potts. Raised during the depression era Gladys was no stranger to hard work and commented to her family many times how hard and painful picking cotton could be.
