Emergency officials have upgraded an advisory for the Klondike River in Dawson City, Yukon, to a flood warning. The advisory, issued on Monday, replaces a flood watch issued late last week.

After weeks of assessments and cleanup, two sections of the North Klondike Highway have reopened to the public. "We're just asking people to drive cautiously and be mindful when they're going through those two areas," said Jim Regimbal.
Researchers from Carleton University in Ottawa are tracking wind speeds on part of the Dempster Highway. "If there are trucks travelling along the highway they can be blown completely off the road," says Trevor Andersen.
