Jammu, March 07 (Scoop News)-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the five-day long ‘Kisan Mela’ at SKUAST, Jammu. The Lt Governor also laid foundation stone for newly sanctioned faculties of Horticulture & Forestry, Agricultural Engineering and Dairy Technology. The Lt Governor congratulated the University for bringing entrepreneurs, technocrats, policymakers and farmers from J&K, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand on a common platform. The exchange of ideas and knowledge will encourage agricultural innovation and motivate farmers to adopt productive techniques, he added. J&K Government signing historic MoUs with PARC- Policy Advocacy Research Centre on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
In presence of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, the MoUs were signed between Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Government, Department of Agriculture Production & Farmers’ welfare; Ankita Kar, Managing Director, J&K Trade Promotion Organization and Kiran Shelar, Director, PARC.
The Lt Governor, in his address, observed that the J&K Government, through dynamic economic reforms, is creating a conducive ecosystem for investment, building collaboration, and partnerships to explore new markets and align potential investors for the UT, besides supporting socio-economic development, local opportunities for employment and bringing stakeholders to a common goal of sustainable growth in J&K.
