For the second year in a row, Councilman Dan Kalmick has not been placed as council liaison for any boards or committees.

The policy says no city library should allow children "ready access" to books that contain content of a sexual nature. Books with sexual references are to be placed in shelves designated for adults.

Librarians moved books out of the children's section Wednesday to comply with a city council resolution to restrict access to books deemed to have sexual content. Some of the books are about subjects such as puberty.

One of three measures up for vote this March looking to change the city charter in Huntington Beach may require voters to use ID at the polls.
