Fife Council announce that parking charges will return on April 26

PARKING charges will return from April 26, Fife Council have announced.
The fees were suspended during lockdown but with traffic levels set to increase, as Covid restrictions are lifted, they are set to resume.
The council said there is rising demand for parking as more people go back to workplaces, visit shops and travel for leisure.
Senior manager for roads and transportation, Derek Crowe, said: “The return to normal parking measures, including parking changes, will ensure local businesses benefit from the turnover of customers that the charges promote and help them get back to more normal footfall.
"It is vital that we support the retail sector at this very difficult time.

WORK to tackle flooding hotspots across Fife has already seen items including tyres and bird boxes pulled out from places experiencing problems.
Members of Fife Council's environment and protective services committee were given an update on the ongoing efforts to stem affected flood-ridden areas across the Kingdom.
In August last year, more than 400 places suffered flooding and the local authority last month committed £5 million over the next 10 years for flood prevention, along with a one-off £450,000 boost for 2021/22 to continue assessing the problem spots.
