May 3, 2021 Azlan Othman The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) has issued a statement regarding an unused surau at the former site of Tamu Kianggeh, which went viral on social media recently. “The surau at the old site of Tamu Kianggeh has not been used for a long time and became vacant following the establishment of Haji Abas Sulaiman Surau at the Dermaga Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan; and since the rebuilding of Tamu Kianggeh Complex on a new site, with prayer facilities for both men and women, as a convenience to traders and visitors at the Tamu,” said the MoRA statement.
