Parallel to us, so i'm guessing that the waves are going to be up here near this dune. the good thing is that north carolina beaches, a lot of them are protected by big dunes, unlike the gulf coast. but the waves can get monstrous, in an area where there's not the big dunes, you can get washouts, roads that are completely cut off. so that's going to be the fear here as this storm comes on board. we do have evacuations, mandatory evacuations for all visitors here in derrick county and the entire outer banks and some mandatory evacuations for some residents in some of the outlying islands. the f...
