She was Born in Weirton, WV, to the late Henry Pendergrass and Shirley Lane( nee Rutherford). Teri attended Weir High School and later received an Associates Degree from Jefferson Tech (now Eastern Gateway). She worked in programming most of her career, was MOS certified by Microsoft, and once taught computer basic classes for kids and teens near her home town.
